Watching the "oil ministers" talk to journalists prior to their meeting,

i am struck by the image of all those brown, black, and non-white faces of the people who really hold much of our living standard in their hands. And then I wonder why we are so militant, so intolerable, so gun-ho about war, guns, weapons etc. when we should be about peace, respect, tolerance, fairness etc. Shouldn't we be about making friends, not enemies? Am I just too "naive?"
