Amazing. I filled up the truck yesterday ($105.77) and had the rear brakes and emergency brake replaced this morning ($102.55). Guess the "Jawboneing" isn't working so well.
On a related note: The last time I filled up the truck (3 weeks ago) diesel fuel cost about a quarter per gallon les than regular gasoline. Yesterday diesel cost about sixty cents more per gallon than gasoline. What does that tell you? It suggests to me they can make one or the other, but not both. This does not bode well for home heating oil pirces for the winter. It is just about the right time of year for demand in that product to surge. Mark my words, people are going to freeze to death this winter because they can not afford heat.
and it was out of sight last year no telling what it will be this winter. We have an unused bedroom and live next door so we are inviting him and his little lady to move in. Just keep the heat on enough to avoid frozen pipes etc. This sumbitch in the whitehouse 'bout got me pissed off, being the sorry bastard he is and all. :grr:
Just did the annual pre-buy for the winter, and got locked in at the low low price of 1.60/gal. Last year it was 1.19/gal. Next year we're getting an external woodstove, otherwise we'll be unable to stay warm.
We have a wood pellet stove and up until this winter we have been able to heat confortably for 300.00 a WINTER. We're thinking of upgrading and passing this one down to him.
