That is chimp's pet name for her
Chimp's pet name for rover is "turd-blossom"--no kidding.

We call shrub 'chimp' because he resembles one.

6. It made me chuckle! But only the "dead you-know-where" part.
Ok, a percocet I took for recent dental work may be helping your cause.

10. My dog
I had a dog once named Apollos. A beautiful Black Lab & Chow mix. Very sweet and gentle, but VERY protective of me and the house. Got him at the animal shelter, he was so depressed, I think he knew he was going to be put down. Anyway, his knick-name was Pickles. He was a much better person than that witch.

12. Don't know the origin
But the first time I heard it, I thought it was perfect, the sort of nickname for a housewife in a 1950s TV sitcom.

20. Not the 50's but the 60's
On the old Dick Van Dyke show, Rob Petie's (Dick Van Dyke) co-worker Buddy Sorrell (Morey Amsterdam) called his wife Pickles. She wasn't on screen much but he referred to her a lot. Funny since Mary Tyler-Moore's character name was Laura. Laura and Pickles, both from the same 60's sitcom.

22. That's GW's nickname for her. I'd like to know why, too, but the
story behind how "Turd Blossom" came to be named is probably way more entertaining I'd expect.
