Key West mandatory evacuation-only 1/2 left
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1106981,00.html?promoid=rss_nation
Despite a mandatory evacuation order, about half the city's 26,000 residents decided ride out Hurricane Rita, which hit the area Tuesday morning. That could be a mistake, says Billy Wagner, senior director for emergency management for the Florida Keys. "The people in the Lower Keys, if they don't get out of there, they can lose their lives."

Where's the outrage about the citizens of Key West waiting for buses to take them out?

Where's the aerial photos of drowned buses?

Where's the RW pundits blaming the welfare state for Key Westers not leaving?

Oh, yea, the people from Key West take on a lighter hue. Forgot.

3. Yep, that is true
Key West is filled with middle class and up people, primarily, who CHOSE not to leave.

New Orleans is filled with working class and poor people, primarily, who WANTED to leave, but could not.
