First Lady Tackles Poverty, Race Issues???
Yeah! Just like Anna Nicole has tackled the English language. Poorly. There are just too many WTF's here:

<snip>

"A large percentage of our population probably doesn't realize what inner cities are really like and has looked away from that," Bush told The Associated Press in an interview Tuesday.

:wtf: Has she drawn her HUSBAND'S attention to this?

<snip>

Mrs. Bush has been to the Gulf Coast four times, once alongside her husband, and has held events around Washington devoted to the hurricane response. Her husband, beset with criticism about the government's initial response to Katrina, traveled to the region for a fifth time Tuesday and is returning again this weekend.
"He has to. That's his job," Mrs. Bush said matter-of-factly. "That's what happens when you run for president. You don't know what might happen like this."

:wtf: What was his job before and after Katrina hit?

<snip>

With her husband called upon — and promising — to take bold new action on racial inequities in the wake of the storm, Mrs. Bush held up the 2002 No Child Left Behind education law as the signature example of how the Bush administration has been fighting poverty from the start. White House aides say the law is fueling higher achievement levels, particularly for poor and minority students — though there is little data to prove that.

:wtf: I won't even TOUCH that one!

Regarding the next SCOTUS?

<snip>

"Whether it's a woman or a man, I know they'll be highly qualified," she said.

:wtf: Becaues Roberts was so quailfied for the job?

1. You're right. It's a veritable WTF-o-rama.
"A large percentage of our population probably doesn't realize what inner cities are really like and has looked away from that."

And she doesn't see the irony. The Bush family is one of the most spiteful and oblivious families in the nation, especially when it comes to the poor.

3. Bush has been fighting poverty? WTF?
The poverty rate has INCREASED on his watch. What utter BS.

Cutting capital gains and inheritance taxes, which puts the tax burden on the working class is "working on poverty?"

These people will go to any lengths, one LIE after another.

6. It would take a much more complex mind than what she has...
to understand that the rich are getting richer and the poor, well, you get the picture.

She has learned from her husband. Just say it enough and MAYBE people will start to believe you.

4. No Child--Yeah, Right
No Child Left Behind is a perfect example of Bush's agenda in practice--a mandated program woefully under-funded. Check out how it deals with special needs kids. In district after district it's a huge cheat-fest. Kids are cheating. (Some) teachers are cheating. Great example, Ge*rge!

7. Did she not know they were being sued over NCLB?
It has been a complete failure and only shows how far her head has been buried in a Xanax bottle.

5. OMFG! They're trotting out the Pickles for President trial balloon again!
Watch for it. Me, I'm waiting for the Lynn Cheney bandwagon. Personally, I think Lynn is running the country. It's obvious nobody else is.

10. Because that worked so well for the drug program.
Her speaking of poverty is like Babs Bush speaking of racial equality.

11. Was she leading that cause?
I must have missed that one. I wonder what qualifies her for social work or does a degree in Library Science pre-qualify one for that?
