Zool, the organizer, was arrested, for want of a sound device permit, that he had apparently applied for; he was turned down. Seems like a setup to me.

6. I was worried, too.

This recent law school graduate (about 1-1/2 ago) is REALLY ticked off; it seems like a constitutionally-invalid-as-applied, content-based move on the part of the NYPD.

3. I think they just took her mike away from her because they didn't

have a permit. I don't know if the organizer was arrested or not. They didn't get a permit for the mike & amplifier.

5. We need to use UNPOWERED megaphones in such cases.

You know those old pictures of crooners with the open ended unpowered megaphones? Like that. They do work if you apply some diaphragm.

7. LOL!

I believe this was "a setup." They had been granted the sound-related permit before; they were denied the permit on the second day, NYPD knowing full well they would go ahead with the rally.

Seems a bit suspicious to me.

Thoughts?
