Imagine your neighbor on the other side of the neighborhood is kind of an asshole, but he has some really valuable rocks in his yard that you would like to have. He beats his kids, and he's a tyrant, but at least he pays the bills.

What do you do? The police won't help, because he's turned in all his firearms and generally complied with all their restraints on him, but he is nevertheless a complete asshole, even if he isn't any threat to you or any of the other neigbors...just a severe tyrant over his family.

Clearly, you send a couple of your teenage boys over to his house to burn most of it down, lock the neighbor up in his basement, and kill a couple of his kids...and maybe rape the wife, just to top things off.

Then you can take the rocks from his yard, if everything continues to work out your way...

The true version would have the child saying, first he needs to find out whether the neighbor's had oil on their property. If there is oil there, then republicans would call the police or whatever. If there was no oil, the true version would say, "son, you just close the blinds and turn up the volume on the TV."

:eyes: Why would anyone talk to a child like that? He'll be having nightmares about Saddam banging on his door for years now. Surely the dad could have simply said, "because there are bad people in the world and we have to stop them from doing bad things."
