11. Good work. Needs HTML formatting work. Pages looked blank w/o scrolling.
The pages looked blank, i.e. banner and left and right sidebars but no text or stories. I almost exited until I noticed that the scroll bar was indicating there was actually stuff to read. Keep up the good work and straighten out this glitch. I was using a common browser that conforms to W3C HTML standards.

I always enjoy your writing with its clear and straight-dealing style. Good luck with the blog.

Click the w3c logo.

That's blatant dishonesty +edit: could be ignorance, I suppose /edit+ from the site designer, which is too bad.
It shouldn't detract from the message.

Boyd on Norquist's aides showing up for work: "You could tell who they were when they showed up, they had this very sweaty, conservative look. There were people concerned in the lobby making sure people got in okay. We engaged people in conservation."

"We had a rendition of when the “rains come down," sung to the tune of "When the Saints Come Marching in."

"The truck parked right out there in front," he said. "Everybody was looking at it."

23. Small Government Leads to Big Disasters?
Not so sure if I agree with that..

Look at the 1906 San Fransisco Earthquake.

Here is a detailed timeline..

http://www.sfmuseum.org/hist10/06timeline.html

The Fed Govt sure was small back then. Of course, this is prior to 1939 / New Deal.. so in a non-war time, what did the Federal Govt have to do, with all the power vested to the states?

Its not small govt that's the problem... it's a stupid, over-complicated govt that is far too entrenched in other affairs to be able to react quickly to a disaster. We need a govt that is ready to react at the moments notice.. this doesn't mean that we need a bigger govt.. just a govt that has less on it's plate.
