Would anyone like to see Joe Wilson run for office?
I think most here agree that this guy is solid in both in resume and articulation. He probably isn't looking for it, but seems to have political "star-quality".

5. whoa, wasn't expecting that.
Would make one HELL of a campaign issue though, as far as bringing out focus.

18. Said it yesterday.
I don't think he WANTS it, but if the dem nominee called him and said he really needed him I think he's the kind of stand-up guy who would answer his country's call.

3. I wonder what skeletons are in his closet.
He's on his third wife, and he was stationed in Africa for a long time. Maybe I've read too many Paul Theroux and Graham Greene novels, but... something tells me that Joe might not be too clean.

That being said, he's smart and articulate as hell. If his past is clean, I'd say, 'run baby, run!'

On second thought, scratch my first statement. If Arnold (groper) can run and Bush (coke boy) can run, I doubt Wilson's got anything in his past to rival those two...

4. He was asked this on one of the Sunday talk shows and said something like
"I'd rather lose an arm than run for office".

16. I heard him speak on World Link TV today, was surprised at a few things.

Not really sure, will have to hear it again, but I thought I heard him saying that maybe it should be re-examined if Iraq had made it safer for Israel. I simply did not catch it, but my husband said he was surprised it sounded like he could consider that it had been a good thing. I guess we are so against this Middle East remapping, that we are sensitive.

I will keep an eye out for a transcipt, and Link replays things along. I was just surprised as he so opposed to going there and upset over the reconstruction efforts. I am NOT saying this for sure, just thinking I heard it.

It says not scheduled again this week, but I hope someone else could listen to it and see what they hear.

On Edit: There is some good streaming video here, though I don't From the Left Coast yet.
