Hannity on radio just now: "TX has near-flawless evacuation"
Yes, I just heard it on 810 Albany, NY station about 10 minutes ago. He said Texas has had a "near-flawless" evacuation, except for some traffic on a few roads, and a few people running out of gas, but that was not a problem, as the tankers are filling them up.

I guess he has moved to the same bubble that Bubble Boy Bush lives in - and this is the spin, people. Don't believe your lying eyes, believe Sean. BTW, did not even MENTION the explosion of the bus.

THEY LIE AND LIE AND LIE, AND AMERICANS SUFFER AND DIE!!! Let's all call him - 800-941-SEAN

2. Good heavens . . . . THIS MESS IS BEING TELEVISED!
This might play with the blind, but every other American knows about the hundred mile traffic jam, exploding bus and lack of gasoline for cars. And, p.s., the poor people are still back at the ranch.

The wingnuts, of course, will shut their eyes and believe Hammity.

3. I heard on Franken when he was interviewing Christy Harvey
that the Gov. told the people in the projects that they were on their own. There was nothing he could do for them. He told them to evacuate two days ago and they didn't.

Yes this is going very well..

:spank:

6. One thing that evacuations don't account for
Are people who have to still be at their jobs or risk losing them. These would be service employees and more than likely the ones that the good Governor has now rendered "on their own".

12. Sorta like Louisiana only with more of a Texas attitude
Less "Gee, is it time to call in help" and more "Oh well, sucks to be you."

Millitant incompetence. People can't get out, but it's not his fault. Sucks to be you, ya damn darkies.

4. I can't take the lies.
See they could lie about Iraq and a lot of people bought it.

But this is IN the US. We have FIRST-HAND FUCKING ACCOUNTS.

He needs to tell all that to my friend who sat in traffic and triple degree heat after they ran out of gas with her baby with croup and two other kids living on granola bars and tortillas for all those hours.

They left Houston at 8 pm Wednesday and they arrived north of Austin at 8 am FRIDAY. Yeah.

Fuck Hannity. May he have a horribly itchy genital rash every day of his life and may he live to be 103.

5. That's because the Mayors are white and the Governor is male
That's why nobody's been killed and nobody's trapped on the highway and every single person got out safely.

11. BS!!! I just got off the phone with my mom
who left Evadale(out of Beaumont) yesterday afternoon and has only made it as far as Center! When I told her that talking heads are saying how wonderful the evac is going she blew a gasket!! Cars are barely moving, NO gas, and all of these cars a constantly being re-routed(by the police) in every little town.

14. Minus the 5 dead elderly who died from heat exhaustion in traffic
Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 03:41 PM by rainbow4321
and the girl who died on the side of the road from the same exhaustion and dehydration, and the 25+ dead people that blew up on the bus and the rest who are in horrible agony in the Parkland Burn ICU...and the families seen WALKING up I-45 when their cars broke down. All of this gotten via TX Cable News Network. Yeah, totally flawless.

FUCK YOU HANNITY. Maybe he needs to be flown into TX and plopped down on I45 w/ a 1/4 of a tank ---we'll see how his definition of flawless changes.

I noticed how Gov Perry said a few days ago with a proud-like chuckle "Well, this is TEXAS, there will be some who won't evacuate". Oh, sure, Texans choose to stay behind and it's a pride thing, LA people stay behind and they are getting the death and starvation that they deserve in the repuke's eyes.

Fox (CH26) reported on a mother with five children, three of her own, who was stranded in a rest stop near Brookshire without gas or water. Earlier reports from the station brought out local people who gave her everything she needed. She gave a huge "Thank You" and is on her way to Luling. A member of the sheriff's department asked that no one else come at this time, please. The sheriff's department is helping stranded motorists, he said. "We'll be on patrol until every motorist is safe," he said. He reported that three people had died last night in their cars.

17. I live between Spring and Conroe, Tx
We have been following the local news stations, and the evacuation has been a monumental disaster. People are stranded, hot, some have died, trying to get out. There is mostly no more gas, they have run out of food, are traveling with the elderly, small children, pets, are having their cars break down, just all kinds of bad things.
The bus that caught fire outside of Dallas caused 24 deaths.

I will admit the authorities have been trying, but the evacuation is far from "flawless" and the road conditions involve much, much more than a few traffic jams.
