IF FEMA personnel have credit cards with $250,000 limits on them
WHY aren't THEY parked at gas stations paying for gas for people who don't have credit cards?

4. But the Amex Black card isn't a card you 'apply' for.
You have to be offered it.

7. that's my point. You have to charge over $100,000 per year on
a gold or platinum card to get an invite.

3. It's our money
What do they care?

With Katrina, the problem could grow. Disaster workers use federal credit cards on-scene, and the Government Accountability Office has found in previous cases the cards have been used to buy jewelry, leather goods and entertainment. And in Katrina's wake the feds have increased the spending allowed on each card--from $15,000 to $250,000.

5. It would seem to me that the best card to use would be
any Amex. The limit can be whatever it needs to be, therefore, no issue of it being declined for reaching the limit.

8. That's My Limited Understanding As Well
Poppy Bush always prided himself that he had an AMEX green card. Why pay the extra fee for a different color card. No real difference, except hokey status symbol that anyone with real money wouldn't really respect.

10. We did have a platinum card until I took over paying the bills.
Now we have a gold card and a green card. The gold card offers additional points which are combined with my husband's corporate card. We have earned some fabulous trips with those points.

Green card is for emergencies.

9. Here is what I heard, I can not find anything on it
Randi or someone said that Bush set a limit 249,999 before you need to show what you are doing with it.

So lets say a cab picks you up from the Airport, and takes you to no where, you can give that cab driver 25,000 or 200,000 without haveing to justify the expence.

This basicly allows Halaburton to par 249,000 for a truckload of dirt, without worring about a gov audit
