He is arrogant, much like his predecessor. Hopefully, he is done, after his arrogance is brought to light. I am not a native Texan but I am married to one and Texans are, for the most part, very hospitable people. We don't deserve to be judged by the likes of the Bush family or the repugs who have taken over.

1. Selective memory
People always forget about the democratic Texans. They aren't in power now, true, but geez....

I haven't seen any other state maligned as much as Texas has been these past few days. Even though George isn't from there.

The Valley is almost solidly blue, as is Austin. I don't know what happened to my San Antonio....Henry B. Gonzalez is probably rolling in his grave.

4. don't worry about it..........
Here in Oklahoma we know Bush is not a typical Texan, in fact, he's not really a Texan at all!

I've know many generous Texans in my life and trust me, we do not judge Texas by their politicians. But please do us a favor and don't judge Oklahoma by our politicans either...........unfortunately ours are not much better.........particularly Coburn and Inhofe!

5. Sing it!
Put a fork in him, he's done. Rita will be the end of his career, fortunately. Now we just have to keep little Scotty McBabbleBunny's mommy from taking over Gov. MoFo's position in the governor's mansion. That's all we need. :eyes:

9. Of course, sometimes people take the blue state / red state stuff

too far.

All states are a different shades of purple. Blanket stereotypes aren't productive. Remind them of Molly Ivans, Jim Hightower, etc.

14. She is right. It is. Think about the Salt Lake City, Utah Mayor
protesting Bush. How many people have just thought - Utah, red state, Bush lovers - things just aren't that black and white.

15. Bush is from Connecticut
He's a faux-Texan.

You know the old Texas joke - you know how to tell a bunch of tourists from the real Texans? The tourists are the ones wearing the cowboy hats and boots. And George sure loves his stupid fake-cowboy clothes. I wonder if he has Roy Rogers jammies, too.
