You might almost say "gore-geous"! No wonder Tipper fell in love with him. And he's brilliant, too.

I've always thought that dignity and the ability to laugh at oneself are quite the intriguing combination.

This actually is Al Gore, heard at the end of this song ...

21. Don't forget - - The Kiss!

After that, all through the 2000 campaign, Gore and Tipper would get a huge hand when they'd kiss on stage, no matter how light the kiss was.

At a Michigan rally on Oct. 29, 2000, Tipper was introducting Gore and the crowd started chanting "KISS HIM! KISS HIM! KISS HIM!" She laughed and said "You want me to kiss him?" and the crowd roared "YES!!". So she kissed him - - and the crowd went nuts.

They kissed again at the 2004 Dem convention and brought the House down...

29. The Kiss reminds me totally of when me and hubby got married
we "just did it." didn't have any money or anything. my mother couldn't be there -- it was almost like eloping except we'd been together almost 10 years.

when it came time to kiss the bride -- you know how you're supposed to be cool and just do a little fake kiss -- john grabbed me and we just had so much emotion welled up we totally forgot people were there. kinda embarrassing, but i can totally imagine the emotional welling of the convention...the hope, anxiety and knowledge of all that depended on victory -- THE KISS, i saw as totally human. all too human for some. may they one day find their freak.

we need to DO A STEADY FOR AL

63. "Live To Paddle" and the other side said "Paddle To Live"
Karenna painted them as "Good Luck Mottoes" on his face during a white water rafting vacation on the Colorado river. There's no date in the text, but it has to be from 1996 at the latest.

69. I think Al will hate to see how disappointed we'll be
if he doesn't run.

But what if he really doesn't run? Will you forget him? Or hate him?

71. He's already proved that he fights the good fight out of office
Why should we forget him, he'll still be fighting for us?

And we already lived through one cycle where he didn't run. You see any hate here? You see us forgetting him?

72. It's different now.
There was no such great demand for Gore before 2004. At least not here on DU. Same is true to Kos.
Now he beats everyone. Hillary, Clark you name it.
Don't you think if after this he doesn't run people will feel he let them down?

73. But there was a great demand for Gore before 2004
Until he dropped out in 2002, he was the front runner for the 2004 nomination. National polls gave Gore a 30 point lead on every Dem who did run, and a 20 point lead on HRC.

83. We will just have to draft him AND Wes Clark in 2008.... The only
Edited on Sun Sep-25-05 03:08 PM by Kahuna
reason I believe Gore didn't run last time is because the big money people let him know that they would not back him. WE proved that we the people can and will fund the candidate of OUR choosing. Gore saw that with the Dean movement. He won't have the hesitation this time.

I was talking to a repuke last Sunday from Ohio. Who basically acknowledged that * is a dissapointment, but doesn't see any leadership potential from the Dems. I said to him, what would this country look like now if Wes Clark had won? And what about Al Gore? This would this would be a far different and better country if Gore were in office. He begrudgingly nodded in agreement.

DRAFT GORE/CLARK in 2008. We'll do a two-fer this time around.

Edited on Sun Sep-25-05 01:21 PM by GetTheRightVote
Any day of the week, he would be my man, he would come to our rescue !! And he voted against the war in Iraq, he fought for his right to be president and it was stolen from him. I believe he is our man to pick up the pieces that will be left behind GW.

:kick:

He is our Phoenix (from the fire).
