Prez On The Precipice ~
"...pushing back against Bush's destructive policies is not enough. While Democrats expose and oppose the President's attempt to make the Gulf Coast a laboratory for conservative pet projects and crony capitalism, they must also lay out a full-scale reconstruction plan of their own."

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/09/23/opinion/main880500.shtml

"They should back a proposal by Senator Russ Feingold and Representative John Conyers to delay the implementation of bankruptcy 'reforms'..."

5. what the Democrats SHOULD be doing is . . .
demanding the impeachment of GWB and his entire administration for the high crimes they're committing on a daily basis in Iraq, here at home, and in countless other locations across the globe . . . what REALLY burns my ass is that these people KNOW what BushCo is doing, and they refuse to address it and take the constitutionally mandated actions to correct it . . .

when "Cover Your Ass" (and "Protect Your Pocketbook") has the effect of jeopardizing our very existance as a nation and a planet, it's time for our "representatives" to put said asses on the line and do what's right . . . to not do so is cowardly and self-indulgent in the extreme . . .

6. That's why I've been saying for a long time now
That we need to start over entirely. Get rid of them all, both Dem and Repug. Too much corruption at too many levels on both sides.

The Dems don't want to rock the boat 'cause most if not all are too closely aligned with the same interest groups that line the Repugs pockets. If any of us think the majority of politicians gives a rats ass about anything but their pocketbooks, we are pulling the wool over our own eyes.
