God, the idiot who is holding the sign "Hippies smell" and then "eat all the hippies"...what is his PROBLEM?

If we all smell, they why would you want to EAT us?

I dunno why flickr isn't allowing direct cut/paste, not to mention links to specific photos....

also, I strongly urge everybody to just sit back and do the slideshow of today's photos

try this. you can adjust the timing of the show; stop, pause, etc.
I'm pausing now to let all know to try this. very heart-wrenching beginning, at Camp Casey/DC

Some of those shots are spectacular.

The woman with her children in front of the WH, just to name one of many.

And actually seeing the word "impeach" on a sign in front of the White House at long last is a bit cathartic, to say the least.

We've been plugging away here at DU for quite some time.

49. Nice juxtaposition.
Or comparison, or whatever you call it.

I remember there was another staged "pull-down" of a Saddam statue at the same time, only Chalabi's pals and what-not couldn't be in two places at once so that photo-op had maybe 5 Iraqis present. Saw it on the TEEVEE.

Remember when the troops put up the American flag over Saddam's statue, then quickly replaced it with Iraq's? OOPS! "But we're not occupying your land, or nuthin' like that, Iraq." :eyes:

so much better in larger format
