I want to say hello to all of our new people
We've grown so much lately and there are so many unfamiliar names I can't possibly meet you all, I'm not Newyawker for god's sake, so HELLO Welcome home.:hi:

I read the discussion every day for about an hour and usually have something to say! Plus I type fast!

I've been doing the onine forum schtick ever since it was invented. My husband ran the first "BBS" (bulletin board system) in our town and I became rather addicted at that time. Have been so ever since.

14. Thanks. I've been lurking since last November.
Just started posting a week or two ago. My daughter and son-in-law are in the Air Force ... not deployed yet, but she's sheduled to go to Iraq in the near future. I'm seriously stressed over it. They have a beautiful 4-year-old son, our only grandchild. I'm worried about the kind of world he is growing up in.

I don't, and never did, support bush*. Neither do my kids, although they are forced to stand up and applaud when he comes on base to give a speech.

This is such a great group and I'm very glad to be here!

Been a lurker too. Spent all last fall campaigning heavily in our mostly-republican community for Kerry. My daughter and I got to meet him and Edwards, along with Carole King and Ray McGovern. Heady times. It's hard not to dwell on the past when the future's so bright! :sarcasm:

It's a long-running joke on DU ... originated from a photo of a pro-war protestor (mullet, the whole nine yards) holding a sign saying: "Get a brain! Morans"

I was curious if DU was growing or not and wrote down the number of registered members near my computer a week or two ago. Since then, DU has added more than 1100 new registered users! Yayyyyy!! GO DU!!!!

Welcome new members. This place is a blast and the best place to get all the latest scoop. I'm addicted. Glad I'm not alone.
