1. I like DK
but I'll call him up tommorrow on CSPAN and ask him to get out before his campaign goes into massive debt.

He should then endorse whomever he thinks has the best chance of beating the shrub.

2. Debt doesn't seem to be a problem right now. He raised
more than $1.5 million last quarter.

Kucinich Fundraising Exceeds Expectations

The Kucinich for President campaign collected more money this quarter than last, exceeding expectations and distinguishing the campaign as one of the few with an increasing funding base.

Despite a late start in the campaign, despite the slowness of the summer months that saw most campaigns bring in less money than in the previous quarter, and despite national media that seek to marginalize Congressman Kucinich, this campaign continues to grow.

An exact total has not yet been calculated, but the money already received this quarter exceeds last quarter's $1.53 million. Most of the donations were received online. Checks from fundraising house parties on International Peace Day, September 21, are still being counted.

Since almost all donations are modest, almost all will qualify for federal matching funds, which will give the campaign a further boost early next year.

PS: Some journalists seem more interested in being dismissive than accurate. Yesterday, John Mercurio of CNN wrote: "Dennis Kucinich, Carol Moseley Braun and Al Sharpton -- are expected to raise less than $1 million each. Or combined, for that matter." We hope the record is quickly corrected.
