I'm so used to challenging and defeating conservatives and neo-conservatives out here in the real world, I thought It would be OK to do so when one showed up in GD. He went without banning, and I thought I'd school him for a bit before the mods got him.

But since I've been scolded by a bunch of people for trying to do so, I guess that isn't what we do around here.

Jeez.

I remember joining up in May of 2001 and beating the crap out of Freepers when they tried to throw down. The best part of the game was defeating their arguments before they got banned...so they'd lose *and* get shut out.

That was then, I guess.

Go on, then, and attack Democrats and whoever else happens to be on your side. You can do that, here, because you won't get banned. All day long.

Don't challenge a Freeper, though. You'll get scolded.

No, I kid. What I'm saying is that I notice both kinds and have had warnings for both kinds. I outed a mole and got banned, and duelled with kamikazes and got warned...but like I said, I'll take the knocks the mods give me becuase I like this place too damn much to go too far.

and I've joined in beating up a bunch of freepers (before they got banned) several times already. Just like you described it. Good times. Your experience this time doesn't sound representative of the DU I've seen so far.

Someone recently posted a request that disruptors not be permanently deleted, basically just because they wanted to know "what'd they say, what'd they say?!?!?".
