What pissed you off the most about Brownie's lies today?
I couldn't stand his response that one of his biggest mistakes was that he didn't anticipate the local gov'ts screwing up.

WTF?! You're the head of FEMA! You are the ones experienced with Hurricanes! It's YOUR job to rescue and help people when an EMERGENCY occurs.

9. and his non-verbal communication, too ...
He was so arrogant and condescending. I was disgusted that he was carrying on as if someone had accused him of breaking the office water cooler -- that indignant, defensive expression was more in line with that, than the deaths of hundreds, probably thousands.

3. The fact that this corporate interview question logic suffices
to explain why a thousand people DIED.

"describe your greatest deficiency."
"my greatest deficiency is that I trust people too much and I work too darn hard."

Fuck off and die, Brownie.

29. Exactly. There is absolutely no excuse for the hundreds of
people that died due to lack of water, food, and/or basic medical needs. NONE. But for this moran's complete incompetence, they would be alive today. There is no reason that the people at the Superdome and theConvention Center couldn't have been provided with the basic necessities and then bussed or airlifted out. Uh, isn't that what we pay our friggin' tax dollars for? Oh wait. We pay tax dollars to improve Halliburton's bottom line. Sorry, I forgot there for a sec. My mistake.

Uh, why the hell do I live in this country again? Damn, I've been trying to think of reasons and lately I just can't seem to come up with any. Gee, imagine that.

5. A few weeks back we learned the term "Resmuglican" on Al Franken.
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 05:41 PM by chalky
The definition was someone who was an ignorant ass who still managed to use a patronizing tone when questioned.

Brownie was the poster child of a Resmuglican today. The lies were bad enough. The condescending, sneering, sarcastic, snotty tone--as if he had every right to lie and how DARE we question him--was what pushed me over the edge.

8. Earlier .... Harold Rodgers (R) Kentucky .....
made the point of stressing why N.O. wasn't evacuated like the prior Wednesday (aug 24) trying to stress the incompetence of the local officials. Fact: That Wednesday Katrina was just becoming a storm in the Bahamas. Then Rogers goes on to ask Brown if the local officials did anything Friday (aug 26th) to evacuate? Brown says not to his knowledge, again stressing as if the Local N.O. government were incompetent ..... Fact: That Friday (aug 26) Katrina was hitting south Florida as a Cat 1 hurricane, and no-one knew if it was going to grow or just where the f...k it was going to go. So this shifting blame of this evacuation b.s. to local officials, from Browns FEMA incompetent response is more slight of hand by the right wingers to distract. God I'm hating Repubs more and more. I orginially posted this in aonther thread but thought it was worth re-posting here, Peace. ;)

10. His arrogance
trying to come across that none of what happened with the lack of a response was NOT his fault. He attempted to turn on the puke kool ade.

I was just so happy to see that congress looked through it and spit it back at him.

if the man had an ounce of dignity, he'd shut the fuck up

he is the federal agency, if he can't do the job, don't sit there & shit on the little guy

as far as i'm concerned, he belongs in jail, as does the person who hired him, because he clearly got the job thru cronyism which means that an actual qualified person (they DO exist) got passed over

And I agree. This guy let thousands die. Remember what happened with WalMart and Al Gore. FEMA deliberatley didn't let either/or inside to help and turned them away. They said they didn't need them.

15. His arrogance. But in all, I was pleased. He is now the poster-child for
the Bush administration. We should replay footage of his many lies and statements where he "misspoke" for Dem campaigns nationwide in '06.

23. Actually, to be honest, I enjoyed every arrogant, immature, lying
word he spoke. He showed how he is the POSTER CHILD for the bush cabal. Anyone with one eye and half an asshole would see that he is the epitome of what comprises the whole bush cabal. If one is totally, lethally incompetent, incapable of accepting responsibility for one's actions, playing the 'blame game' to it's fullest, know how to kiss the right asses and having breathtaking arrogance and self-absorption issues then you will be hired to be the head of agencies that are responsible for life-and-death decisions.
