Last night's Aaron Brown show was like a soap opera

"he said, she said".

The Mayor vs the Police superintendent.

They (Brown, Anderson Cooper) beat up all on Mayor Nagin.

Supposedly Nagin and Compass were good friends, only to let "politics" get in the way (on the Mayor's side, anyway) of their friendship, and the effectiveness of the police department.

I don't know what to think.

On another issue -- "Brownie" and cronyism to be exact -- they presented an EXCELLENT report, by non other than Candy Crowley.

It was blistering.

Loads of contempt for the way the Bush White House does business, and makes appointments.

I'm trying to find some video. If I do, I'll post it.

I never thought this day would come.

Of all the "busting" of Drownie that went on yesterday, did you hear a single Repugnican...or media talking head say there should be an independent investigation into this fiasco? Or what further action this kangeroo court will pursue now that it's done doing it's nice little TV show?

The game here is to ignore Katrina...put all the ugly out of the way...make it history. One way is to bum's rush an inquiry...get out the whitewash and find a new distraction to direct the corporate media to play with.

Meanwhile the corruption, cronyism and plundering of the federal treasury continues. But the corporate media pats itself on the back for it's rare few minutes of clarity...and does so by going back into its ivory tower.
