They say Bush people are "loyal"
Let's see how loyal Scooter Libby is. All Fitzgerald has to do is threaten Libby with 10 years or more to get him to talk. Think he'll be ready to fall on his sword in that case?

He'll sacrifice. These people cut and run when they or another one is in danger. They don't want to get caught. Hasn't he already been in jail for Watergate? So I don't think he'll want to go back, do you? I hope he sings like Mariah Carey.

4. Loyal like Nazis, or loyal as the legions of flipped Mafia soldiers
As the Busheviks more closely resemble those two entities than they do a Politiczal Party of the Old American Republic, it will be interesting to see the results.

If Libby flips, his life won't be worth a plug nickle, though he likely WILL get to live until his "suicide" won't be so suspicious.

9. Oh my yes! Not time to break it out yet, but hell yeah!
Love that sig line! I never thought I could agree with a sentiment like that, but that was another country I was living in back then.

5. "Loyal" only because they're scared shitless!
They have seen first hand what happens when they stray from the Cult.

Capone used a similar method to command loyalty. An everyday baseball bat really got the message across one night.

7. If it were a Dem they'd be talking about underlings 'covering'
for their leader and whether they were being asked to lie and pontificating about suborning perjury. Like they did with Clinton.

The media hated centrist-progressive Clinton and implicitly assumed all manner of bad conduct and bad faith. With Bush and Republicans in general the underlings are 'loyal' not complicit, and associatively the leader is implicitly somebody who inspires and deserves loyalty.

Just two opposite ways of looking at and reporting on the same type of thing. Neither is factually incorrect, and you only get to see the hypocrisy of America's now fully right-wing establishment journalism when you see them report similar circumstances in two completely different ways.
