Guess who just called me personally? Tom 'Bugman' DeLay!
OK, so it was a recording, but I'm sensing some desperation in the repug party. He chatted about the out-of-control DA and partisan distraction, also letting me know about some fluff he's sending out next week with talking points to prove his innocence.
Damn, that was fun to listen to. I could hear him sweat!:rofl:

5. Do you expect them to move the trial out of Travis County?
I've heard a couple of rumors to that effect myself today but no real details to substantiate the claims yet.

11. I don't know. He only got 55% of the vote last year, so
I'm thinking he's going down next year, if he's not in jail by then. Oh, happy day!!!

13. That % was the lowest on record for him, wasn't it?
I think I heard that last night on one of the local news programs. If he had that hard of a time keeping his seat without an actual indictment it's got to be a good sign for '06.

I'm hoping to see his career end one way or the other over all of this, too.

Moving the trial was what stopped Kay's trial. It sure wasn't her lack of guilt.

10. Hutchinson's case is a hot topic in my area today
There's plenty of speculation that DeLay's defense will attempt to use similar methods.
