:sarcasm: That's what I've seen in print here and in the coffee shop I go to for the morning java. I think we are all pulling straws out of lop-sided hats at this bizarre twist of events in the last 2 days, but nothing would surprise me more to find out that Judy Miller is *gasp* really working for this administration.

Her hoo-ha about the war, yes, yes, but this latest crap about being able to speak because her "source" aka: Scooter Libby approved...come on. She doesn't want Fitzpatrick drilling her about WMD's but he can drill full steam ahead about Plame vs. Rove. Sorry--OLD NEWS. The real "meat" of this story isn't Plame, but WMD's and the illegal war. Plame is just a "casualty of war."

This spider web is just starting to spin.

sector intelligence service would operate. Major media is great cover because of reporter-source privilege. Likewise, large law firms are perfect because of attorney-client privilege.

But, isn't there a Reagan era directive against CIA using the media as cover? Or, has that been ignored?

We're all assuming, of course, that Judy works for an American intelligence agency. I personally think it more likely that she's a Mossad agent of influence with a lot of close ties within the neocon wing of the American intel and foreign policy community.

12. There's no question about that. I would think her editors know that too.
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 11:59 PM by leveymg
What does that make them? Higher-level operatives? Has the NYT always served this function, or is Miller some kind of neocon-era mutant intel-journalist?

Do you know she was Foreign Editor at The Progressive? Great way to get to know people, a lot of different types of people on various sides, in the Middle East.

8. Of course she is. She was the #1 proponent of the war.
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 11:53 PM by Carolab
Bolton visits her in jail?

What do you think they were doing? Trading recipes?

The deal here was for her to name Libby to free herself and/or Rove.

The question is, which one of them is the leaker? Judy or Karl?

Oh, and on edit: Do you think she enjoyed helping to out another CIA agent? A pretty blonde woman whose husband upset the applecart?

Come on--neither. Miller wasn't even in the "talking" until Fitzpatrick supenea her. Makes ya wonder:eyes:

15. Not true. There has been lots of speculation that Judy was the leaker.
That she has merely been protecting herself.

Now, if that's true, then who would turn against her? Libby? No, he apparently has been "designated" to take the fall.

17. I think 'yellow' sort of suits her
better, in every sense of the word ~

And I think she may be the leaker ~ although definitely not the original one.

The field is pretty narrow for that, it has to be either Bush, Cheney, Colin Powell, possibly Rice, and certain people at the State Department, I would think. Some can be eliminated, since they wouldn't have had the motivation.

Of those who had both access to the information and the motivation to put Plame and her operation out of business, Cheney, imo, tops the list, with Bush equally suspect. I also suspect Wolfowitz, Feith, Perle, Ledeen and a few other neocons of being in on the whole thing. Any one of them could have passed it to Judy, and once she had the information, she could have given it to Scooter Libby, calling him as a journalist 'just asking' and he could then deny getting it from Cheney.

They were probably all trying to distance Cheney or Bush or any of those who actually did have access to the info (and what were those papers Condy helped Bolton to keep from the Democrats? I hope Fitzgerald gets them) as far as possible, by involving as many people as they could. But I do not for a minute believe she is 'just a journalist protecting her source'.
