Delay seemingly more determined......
Yesterday on Fox Sunday {I know, I know ...I hadn't eaten yet} Tom Delay was more fervent than ever about the Neocon Scam agenda. He actually said '"I can still do my job without being House Majority leader". He almost relished the fact he could now operate out from under the microscope. This guy is the scariest man in America.

2. Textbook Psychopath......
will never believe he has done anything wrong and it's everybody else's fault he has been indicted. This nut case needs to be removed from political office.

3. And possibly
the most arrogant, and therein lies his downfall. He is so full of himself that he thought he could get away with anything. Hell, he felt he was entitled to get away with anything. He got sloppy.

No one is above the law. Not even Mr. DeLay as he is now being reminded.

5. ah the "newt" disease. Recall his trench hole for women commentary
I think that marked the beginning of the end for him as well.

As for Wittle Tommy the Insecticide Man, there is no one moment as defining. But, three ethics committee admonishments later, then an indictment, I suspect that this is his defining moment.

He will be Head of Catering but still the man actually running the Senate.

6. Countering wing-nut talking points
My partner's brother, gay also; but unbelievably republican (a whole other story!) visted us up here this week-end. Gawd, I couldn't handle it; but he said that District Attorney Earle impaneled 5 grand juries and that this one finally nailed Delay. Is that true? The other juries must have been white rednecks and he finally got an impartial one.

RW bullshit talking point?

7. Yes, I believe it's a bullshit talking point
Grand juries are limited in their time of service. When their time runs out, another is impaneled. It has more to do with the length of the investigation than anything else, as far as I understand. Between 3-6 grand juries for one case is average. So no, it doesn't have anything do with with Earle trying to find a group that would do his bidding.

8. Thank you
so much. Another point about your justice system that this freak failed to point out.

The truth is so apparent here.

11. There are undoubtedly several of his power hungry fellow
Congresscritters (same party, no less) who probably have the long knives drawn and waiting for the appropriate moment to skewer and spit the guy, as I type.

12. That quote was read on CNN yesterday and you should have seen David
Drier's face when he heard that. He said, "Tom Delay won't be running anything" and went on to spew some more bullshit about how wonderful Delay is. :eyes: The look on his face was priceless though. I don't think he was very happy to hear Delay's plans. It was "news" to Drier that Delay was planning on running things while not the Majority Leader.
