4. I'm a little naive about this, since I don't get involved until after
the primaries, (can't vote in the primaries because I'm an independent) but, why is this big news?

5. It's not big news. Everyone in VA knew he was running for President
the many he announced he wasn't challenging George Allen's Senate seat in 2006.
