It would not shock me that these may be the same group that were sure they should have all the say as when I lived in the South 30 years ago. Blacks and women should know their place unless we say you can do some thing. I am a bad one to get into this as I did not fit in to the South at all. Bush may be a NE person but he goes over board trying to be un-wimp like and Southern or like Texas.I think he got a hold of the religious right and saw a good way to get power.

As for what the goals have been of this administration, I'd say they were amassing power and enriching Halliburton, and that included embracing the now-powerful evangelical movement and all the intolerance it demands, so, yeah, we agree there.

I live in the South now, and believe me, he's no Southerner. He's simply a puppet for Cheney (who is smart), Rumsfeld (who is smart), and Wolfowitz (who is smart).

...I see him as more of a coward who's spent his life hiding behind his daddy and all of the power structures put in place. He may have the bark, but this boy certainly is lacking when it comes to the bite. He's just a spoiled little shit who's always gotten his way.
