1. Well, that sucked

That was really pathetic. While he is generally right as opposed to being completely wrong like those at WarCriminals Inc., he said some things that were just goofy. I wonder what his definition of credibility is in "On Credibility". We now know that is is is, but what is he thinking when he talks about credibility?

2. Regain credibility by way of ..
recognizing that invading Iraq was a colossal mistake and start withdrawing, re-connect with European allies and others in the region, genuinely embrace the UN to help broker stability.

The first step on the road to recovery is to admit you have a problem.

Odom is dead-on correct about this fiasco. The major concern is that THIS administration will never admit they were wrong even in the face of all the mounting evidence. It will have to come from a NEW administration.

4. It is a sorry piece of writing

He says we never lost credibility and that we are so fucking wonderful we will not lose credibility if we leave. The problem is we do not have credibility if we stay or leave. It is not like we would leave on principle. The whole world and TheMajority are calling for an exit from an illegal war and *Co do not care about that or the rule of law or morality and this guy talks about "keeping" credibility.

But that is just part of it. The writing actually sucks and it is not totally real. It glosses over how wrong we were to start with and the types or degree of costs. I agree we need to leave Iraq, but I would never regard this as good writing. It is not even close.

It starts out sucking. Just read the first paragraph critically as a piece of writing.

If I were a journalist, I would list all the arguments that you hear against pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq, the horrible things that people say would happen, and then ask: Aren't they happening already? Would a pullout really make things worse? Maybe it would make things better.

3. ...and some republicans should stand trial for war crimes
Cut and run is not good enough. Bush and his crony's must go down
to the courthouse on charge of their crimes.
