The Roberts and Miers appointments have to do with LOYALTY.

The appointments are about loyalty to the BushCO empire. They will rule on command because they owe, owe, OWE their lives and positions to the Bush regime. They will pay the price of that loyalty and rule as they are told by the BushCO Empire regardless of whether the ruling destroys Americans or others around the world.

Think about the Gonzales memo basically rationalizing torture,...that memo was produced on the demand of the BushCO Empire. Roberts and Miers will conduct themselves similarly.

I think she is Clarence Thomas. Someone who is just grateful to be there and will do whatever she is told.

,...from the beginning. Anyone who voices a different opinion or perspective or position is immediately tossed out. This regime has no hesitation in threatening revenge upon those who inch outside the line.

We have plenty of evidence of the harsh realities associated with the neoCON-backed BushCO Empire to passionate about our opposition to such unleashed abuses of power.

I think Roberts is going to figure out quickly--if he hasn't already concluded--that he has his own star to shine. He, more than the associate justices, will be able to exert his own personality and intellect. Now, which direction he goes as he matures in his position is up for grabs, but I think he may well be a lot wilier than the Administration's handlers.
Miers is highly unlikely to be her own person--she is their solely by cronyism and she got to the WH in the first place solely by means of patronage. She has no paper trail and even worse, she has a reputation for playing her cards close to the vest. That is a characteristic of her behavior over decades--so it's not likely to change as she settles in at the SC.

Even participated in the 2000 election debacle.

I think there is only one reason and a reason Bush stressed and echoed repeatedly this morning. Time is of the essence. He needs his two lackey toe licking appointments in place before the indictments come down.
He needs a majority of personal friends to fend off the attacks about to descend upon his sorry ass and administration.

The neoCON-backed BushCO Empire are THE evil-doers against peace and democracy. They will destroy the U.S.A. if they allowed to do so by those who are empowered to stop them, mostly the Republicans backing the Democrats along with the American people.

If Ch*eney-Rover get indicted it will probably take as long as B*sh has in office to get up to the Supremes. And if there are pardons to be had, they would need to come from the Prez.
