They keep asking justices the wrong questions
Now we have to spend the next two months pretending we care about Plessy v Ferguson and Marbury v Madison. the justices aren't going ot answer those questions and Americans don't care about them anyway.

Ask Meirs about cases Americans CARE about. What does she think of the OJ verdict? How about Rodney King? Those cases say as much about her feelings on race as her views on Brown v Board of Education.

How about the People v Michael Jackson? or Robert Blake? Ask her about the latest missing blonde. Should that Dutch kid stand trial for whatever it is Natalie's mother thinks he did?

If they aren't going to answer questions anyway, the least we can do is have a little bit of fun.

1. sorry, but I think THOSE cases are trivial
but you are right. the hearings are a joke. the nominees won't answer the questions anyway.

what could possibly be said about the Aruba girl? I mean the case is being ajudicated according to Dutch law. regarding OJ and Blake, those were jury trials. she could simply say it was up to the jury and they get to decide.

7. Yes, America wants Simon Cowell on the court
"That sir, was the worst argument I hae seen in this chamber in quite some time. You lack polish, charisma and a little thing we like to call EVIDENCE. Come back when you get a clue."

6. It's Not Just The Wrong Questions . . .
. . . they ask them the wrong way. Is there not a single, solitary trial lawyer on the Senate Judiciary Committee? Is there not a single democratic senator who knows how to use leading questions to perform a cross-examination of a hostile witness?

If one, single Dem had cross-examined Johnny Robs instead of playing intellectual footsie with him and asking him about #&@^%! MOVIES, we might've gotten something out of him.

If you don't ask leading questions of a hostile witness, you'll never get any information whatsoever.

The question ISN'T "what do you think of the right to privacy?" It's "Time and again, you've attacked the right to privacy, correct?" And when the rotten little weasel says no, you hammer his lying soul into the ground.
