Maybe we need to take a lesson from the Brits
Over there, they just don't have an Anti-War Movement, but they have an Anti-Far Right Movement.

I think we need to learn some stuff from them, we face a similar problem, if not greater.

The Far Right:

Is in a country that is more powerful. (If they get their way, the Far Right could cause a lot of serious damage to humanity)
Is more secretive.

We need to form a Coalition that is opposed to the Far Right.

I think we should call it the 05 Group.

The 6 Iraq Vets that are running for the Senate should have their voices HEARD!!!

People are ready to open their eyes, especially when it hits them in their gas tank!

2. The anti-liberal movement by the neocons was not and has not been......
effectively challenged by the liberals in America. It is time to reverse this trend and begin an anti-neocon movement. They have certainly given us plenty of ammunition to work with and their reign of destruction on this country is more evident with each passing day.

3. I was in the ANL
in the seventies. They were pretty hairy times, I can tell you.

We fought those fuckers everywhere they showed themselves.

Apart from keeping the fascists themselves quiet, it made it distinctly unfashionable to be associated with the far right, IMO, and it had a restraining effect on Thatcher and the tories, who had to be more circumspect about their racism.

4. Do you think that we need something like the ANL here in America?

5. The ANL was a coalition of left and progressive

groups that touched a nerve and reached mass movement status.

I don't know if it an appropriate thing to do now in the states. We were in a situation of quite sharp class conflict and the rise of fascism is expected in those circumstances - we had vigilante nazis beating up trade unionists, stirring up racial divisions, breaking up left meetings, etc.

We are talking about organised Nazis intimidating communities - these people needed to be confronted directly, and that's not a tactic that is any good against a heavily armed state! It does work well against bullies though.

I would suggest you need to re-build left and union activity amongst the working class. Anti-fascist activity will flow from a more active working class movement as well as many other new political activities.

Re-build you unions and your political parties from the ground up, I would suggest. And the best way of doing that is through militancy.

non-serious edit
