1. and the rest of the world sees it even clearer than thee
So, how is day seven of The Karen Hughes parade doing? Has she made more friends and influenced any leaders?

3. lol my sis leaves for Holland to revisit family next week--
She & her husbum had tees made up : WE HATED HIM FIRST

They're positively quaking at the spanking they'll get from the "old Europe" familie.

I demanded she tell them I went to Camp Casey--I'm naturally suspect due to living in Texas--gasp!--and to get my AnneFranke style attic suite ready so I can flee with our almost-draftaged daughters when the time comes.

Arnhem, here we come.

6. No doubt she wore slacks in Egypt and kept her head uncovered.
didn't see her running around playing smoochie Prince Bandar though. He probably was given a choice - either mug down on Karen or hold hands and play smoochie face with Bush.

It wasn't even a choice.

A FUNNY THING. Here in Ft. Worth, every third woman over the age of 40 is a Karen Hughes doppelganger. It's kind of creepy. Reminds me of the mother of Jason in the very first Friday 13th movie - I keep expecting her to whip out a machete and start decapitating the good guys.

2. W - still the Worst
still see them here in Texas - W'04 sticker, W Still the President, the little fishy thing, and a Texas A & M decal.

No identity of their own - they have to borrow everything. No responsibility for their own beliefs, knowledge, morality or so-called "compassion" - their "leaders" have to supply that.

If you take away the stickers, the SUV, the hairspray, the perpetual anger, the school decals, the bajeezus and their bible, there is nothing left except a scared little grade schooler living a big scary complicated life in a big scary complicated world.

5. LOL. You know, I think it may all come down to that he didn't know
who the hell to pick. He didn't want to upset either side. I think his first criteria was:

1. "WHO HAS NO WRITTEN RECORD OF THEIR BELIEFS (AND IF THEY DO, HOW MUCH OF THE RECORD CAN WE GET AWAY WITH WITHHOLDING)"

2. His second criteria was "UNDYING DEVOTION TO ME". He may need someone on his side down the road to keep him out of jail or decide an election.

Roberts satisfied #1 and probably #2 as well. (Long family history of pushing him forward, which would probably keep him on board).

The problem with Miers is that she just looks SO cronyish, it is
unbelievable that he would do that, given the criticism of late. The funny thing is that it is the Repigs using the "crony" card.

Putting all politics aside, when I think of the Supreme Court (at least the way it used to be), I think of gravitas. Of learned legal scholars. That she is not ! Don't you think that the others would probably just laugh at her? I can't imagine her swaying a majority opinion. On the other hand, she may be an easy pawn to recruit.

8. yes. Oh, just saw his press conference. He actually made the
point that there are no opinions out there to read. Like that was a good thing.

Well he doesn't read nor they say he doesn't watch tv and he doesn't use email. It is hard to imagine. It would be like you were on a deserted island every day of your life.
