I'm a newbie, and I admire the sharp wit(s) I see around here.

I lean very socialist, but I see no return in my attacking left of, center, or right of - Dems.

In this quasi-two party system, Dems are the only game in town so I'll take any candidate you give me.

Here's hoping that smart candidates (not just for Prez by the way) will finally figure out they need to go after the largest percentage of voters in the US - the non voters. The fuck-it-they're-all-dirty-anyway voters. They need to stay off of Meet The Press and boldly hit the networks talking about single payer healthcare, wages, the environment and education. These are today's "family values," regardless of anyone's position on abortion or gay marriage or whatever money-making wedge issue the right's been using, and the left's been dancing around, and the non-voters are sick of hearing about.

But I'm committed to whatever Democrat they decide upon to start taking some of the rap for Bushite financial and foreign policy disasters. Poor bugger. I pity him/her. But I will very much support and intend to 'vote' for whoever it is, no matter how bad they are, because I think it will be our last opportunity to throw these election theft machines into "Boston Harbor," restore integrity to our election system, and start actually electing representatives who have our interests at heart. Even the worst of Democrats will have to at least pay lip service to progressive values like good government and honest elections.

And maybe they won't loot Social Security for a while, in order to head off the granny riots.

And when they run out of things to loot, then we'll get our democracy back--a poor, battered hovel of a country, but our own.
