Bush's press conference - federal bulldozers?!?!?
Again, apologies if this was discussed elsewhere, but Bush explained that the regulations that slowed him down in responding to the hurricanes were those requiring local authorities' permission before federal bulldozers could remove debris from private property. What was he talking about? I can see government bulldozers clearing the streets, but private property? Are Halliburton and Bechtel that hard up for funds?? Wouldn't that screw up insurance claims to have all the evidence bulldozed? How do bulldozers provide food and shelter? (He specifically mentioned knocking down debris, not clearing land for trailer parks for temporary shelter.)

1. Sounds like more lies. His lips were moving right? How many
"federal bulldozers" are in the entire south right now? Military bulldozers maybe. I am having a hard time believing the feds even have bulldozers.

2. Why was he talking about bull dozers in the first place?

I could understand buses and evacuation centers, but bulldozers after the fact?

3. I believe he let the truth slip
He was talking about valuable China and rare artwork and how that was hampering ???? Bulldozers???.....like as if a bulldozer would be neccessary if valuable China were still intact????

They are bulldozing large portions of tracts without the owners consent...I can almost guarantee it...there was some footage of bulldozers leveling somewhere in St Bernards Parish within 2 weeks of the Katrina landfall...never saw reports of it again.

Is there any doubt we are dealing with a madman?...who is quite likely a drug addict as well

4. Yet none of the reporters there had the nerve to ask a follow-up
It should have been "WTF?"
