Boeing Boeing: "it unleashes hell" on a mosque
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002532657_boeingad1m.html

Boeing and its joint-venture partner Bell Helicopter apologized yesterday for a magazine ad published a month ago — and again this week by mistake — depicting U.S. Special Forces troops rappelling from an Osprey aircraft onto the roof of a mosque

The ad appears at a time when the United States is trying to improve its image in the Muslim world and Boeing seeks to sell its airplanes to Islamic countries.

In other news
IRAQ IS ABOUT 10 MINS FROM CIVIL WAR. A bomber just destroyed a shia mosque in basra i believe and if this keeps up it will turn into something which the US troops will not be able to control without massive violent repercussions.

9. It only bothers me a little bit...
and that little bit is because it looks like quite a tempting RPG target.

14. It doesn't really bother me greatly, but it does amuse me --
sort of like the apocryphal Chevy Nova marketed in South America story. And it plays into the hands of the terrorists, but who has more of a stake in keeping things stirred up (i.e., keep the war hot) than Boeing? Somebody's got to supply all those helicopters and parts, and given the price of fuel, I imagine their commercial division is in a real slump these days... Follow the money.

10. This is what they really think and say behind close doors.
This is a Holy War, and no matter how many times they apologize, it is what they think and what they do. The rest of sane humanity must suffer along for the ride.

11. Can we just photoshop The White House into the photo instead?

Or better yet, can we put the thing unleashing Hell on The Vatican?

13. Great ideas. I'd suggest Halliburton headquarters. Sort of a
Raid on Entebbe to rescue the money...
