1. Well, touching up is a good thing, even for us "older" women...
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 07:56 PM by Radio_Lady
I'm six years older than Harriett. Any little thing helps. However, let me say that I am opposed to her as a Supreme Court Justice, bags or no bags.

In peace,

Radio Lady

(Yes, this photo is touched up...)

2. My advice for Harriet: ditch the racoon look. It draws attention
to the bags under your eyes.

On second thought, maybe you're trying for the goth look.

7. I sort of like Tammy Faye. She combines the eyeliner with the fake lashes
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 08:12 PM by CottonBear
Somehow, it works for her. She's got cancer you know. I feel sorry for her. I think she's become a better person after going through all of those scandals. I've seen her interviewed and she seems sweet. She still does the full makeup. It's her signature.

Ms. Miers would look softer if she ditches the black eyeliner. Just my opinion.

10. All she needs is a smudge sponge.
Lots of eye pencils come with one on the other end - - where an eraser would be on a #2 pencil.

Smudging makes a world of difference.

12. Hugh fan of the smudge. Hugh.
And from one woman to another....she must do something about that look.

Don't get me wrong, I care much more about her being a Bush staffer, but puh-leez.

18. Indeed.
One is led to wonder if she has any grounding in the real world to sport that kind of makeup.

Makes me wonder if maybe she's not someone who can't take suggestions.

After all, if her fashion faux pax are so readily apparent to us'ns, surely her pals have noticed, too, and could have hinted to her that you don't line all the way to the inner corners of your eyes.

Unless you're Cleopatra, of course. :)

And like you, I hold it against her mostly that she's been an insider in the most closed and least populist administration in my lengthy lifetime.

The makeup just distracts to the extent that it's hard to take her seriously. In a man, the same thing happens with a bad toupee.

22. You have hit the nail on the toupee.
Makes me wonder if she truly has any girlfriends!

26. My friends did that in the seventies
Reminds me of Judge Owens, it does. Both need a makeover. Owens barely knew how to comb her hair.

She needs to use a lighter hand and smudge it, dammit!

11. Chelsea Clinton was a CHILD who was not running for office, was not a
nominee, nor an appointee.

That we should focus on the issues may be a legitimate point.

The analogy to Chelsea Clinton is not.

14. Forget it. Women love to gossip about clothes and makeup.
It's part of the biology of the human female, I think. The Republicans gossip about Hillary, and all the Democrats. Democratic women gossip about the Republican women.

16. The point, as he said, is that she's a nominee for the Supreme Court,
not Katie Holmes.

So why in the hell does she need to have her eye-bags retouched? Isn't her record of accomplishment more important than how she looks?

6. I don't care what her makeup looks like, but it's faking it to take out
the bags. Look, she's 60 years old. If she wanted to run out and spend some of that dough she got (what was it, 19k) to get some plastic s to take out the bags, more power to her. But it's CHEATING for that website to not show her AS SHE IS.

8. I agree. Fake photos for judges bothers me.
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 08:10 PM by CottonBear
She would look better without the black liner because it draws attention to an area which should not be highlighted by that sort of harsh makeup. She'd look fine with softer eye makeup.

9. *yawn* Sad Photoshop.... at best.
So much more cuold have been done. Removing the red from her eyes, the nicotine yello from her teeth... straightening the Wicked Witch of the West nose...

I know from Photoshop... Bad effort. The touch-uppers were either ignorant or lazy... probably both.

They registered the domain on the Thursday before the announcement.

They registered justiceroberts.com on June 20, * announced him July 19. When did O'Conner announce her retirement?

Someone should do a domain namespace analysis of the PACs.
