Nicaragua next invasion ?
Nicaraguans bristle at U.S. threats

Wednesday, October 5, 2005 Posted: 1614 GMT (0014 HKT)

MANAGUA, Nicaragua (AP) -- The message for Nicaraguan conservatives from the U.S. government was stark: Accept your president -- or else.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick starts a final round of meetings in Nicaragua on Wednesday after demanding that Nicaraguan politicians halt their efforts to topple elected President Enrique Bolanos.

"For those who think they can remove him, my message is: There will be consequences in terms of their relations with the United States," Zoellick said Tuesday.

Zoellick made the usual U.S. denunciations of former Sandinista President Daniel Ortega, but spent most of his ammunition on a one-time U.S. ally, ex-President Arnold Aleman, who has maintained control of the governing Constitutionalist Liberal Party despite a 20-year sentence for corruption.

6. US still owes reparations to Nicaragua in the TERRORIST DEATHS
of 30,000 civilians.

So hey, Amerika, GO AHEAD AND TRY your "OR ELSE". Nicaraguans have a message they've long been waiting to deliver.
