Mayor Newsom..God I love this guy
First he takes on homophobes and pushes the gay marriage issue. Well now..he says wireless internet access is a civil and human right. This guy sounds border line socialist...and right up my alley lol. Wish I live din San Fransisco so I could vote for him. Geez, and he was the conservative in the race against the Green..how left wing was that guy?

Story on wireless internet:

1. By San Francisco standards...
Gavin is a centrist. Yet another reason to love that city!

2. I love this guy too!
I have Dish TV, and up at channels 9410-9415 is LinkTV, Free Speech Tv, and some other public access stations. I watch them a lot. One of those channels is UCTV (University of California TV). They show a speech he gave at one of the campuses, I think it was the Sacramento campus. He was soooo great! Funny, passionate about the Constitution & Bill of Rights, and just really, really cool. I liked him a lot. If you get a chance, I recommend seeing it.

...because you have to wonder what he's about to do for the people of our city next.

Speaking on CNN about his decision to allow the City Clert to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples:

"I will not abdicate and step back and say what we were doing 10, 15 days ago -- before this action -- is appropriate," Newsom said. "I do not believe it's appropriate for me, as mayor of San Francisco, to discriminate against people.

"And if that means my political career ends, so be it."
