5. He's doing great!
He said that the administration is incompetant and "they don't know how to govern." Stated how it is evident in the Iraq War and the hurricane disasters.

When first on he said the election results were bad for him, "but even worse for the country."

Love this man. Love 'em.

Darling! Cute, Precious, Attractive! And he looks better than ever.

Also, he's saying all the right things! It's good the way he's sayin' ..that, "it's really bad for this country" ..the incompetence the bushwa is displaying.

20. This statement is applicable to our foreign policy as it is to domestic
policy.

We aren't only exploiting the working people in the US, we are exploiting the work that is done in nations all over the globe.

We would be so much better in America and around the globe if our driving principle were not to take as much as possible from people who work to create wealth.

I think he can be a uniter. The worst things the right could come up against him was he has pretty hair and he's a lawyer. After this fiasco with Bush/Cheney/Condi/Rummy etc a lawyer sounds darn good.

He and Elizabeth are wonderful people. No offense meant to Gore, Kerry, or Hillary but they carry a lot of garbage with them.

I'm really hoping we go with John Edwards.

His sympathy made it clear to everyone how much of America needs us. And how they've been ignored by this administration. He understands the heartbreak.

I'd prefer it if he were more DU. I want some angry swinging of fists. No, he didn't lose the election. No, Katrina was much more than just mismanagement and incompetence.

He mentioned that he realizes that people are looking for leadership and conviction. It's good to hear that they know that. It means we're getting though.

Although, and this is just my tinfoil, he was talking to the Daily Show crowd. He might just know his demographics.

Anyway, the rest of the show was good, as well.

52. John's blog is here for anyone interested. He made some great
comments about voting. He backs a voter verified paper trail!

I'm out, but feel free to continue the conversation.

http://www.oneamericacommittee.com/

Many of the worst problems happened in Ohio. After the election, 28 percent of voters there reported problems with their voting experience. These problems were ones that shouldn't exist in America, like intimidation and not being able to find your polling site. The racial disparities within these problems are especially alarming: in Ohio, African American voters were twice as likely as white voters to experience problems.

The result of these problems is a dramatic blow to our faith in our democratic system: in Ohio in 2004, only 19 percent of African Americans were confident that their vote was counted correctly. That's not the way it should be in America.

So, while I commend the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) for taking another look at problems in our voting system, I'm concerned that these guidelines - just like those issued in 1990 and 2002 - do not go far enough.

The main problem with these guidelines is that they don't require voting machines to produce a voter-verified paper trail. That means that voters still would be unable to verify something as simple as the fact that their vote was properly cast. To improve on the problems of 2004, voting machines simply must be required to produce a paper trail.

Ok, I admit it is late at night. But I read in this thread:

zidzi: "I'll just bet he does! Those eyes! blueneen!"

mzmolly: "Hey there blue neen! "

Which I read as 'hey, they're blueneen' - meaning his eyes

Now I realize there is a poster called "blue neen" and that isn't really the unique color of John Edwards' eyes....
