Great outcome of roadrage!
An honest man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman
on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just
in front of him.

He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though
he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman hit the roof, and the horn, screaming in
frustration as she missed her chance to get through the intersection.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and
looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer
ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.

He took her to the police station where she was searched, finger printed, photographed,
and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened
the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the
arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind
your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in
front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him.

"I noticed the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the ' What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the
'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated
Christian fish emblem on the trunk.

Naturally , I assumed you had stolen the car."

. . . priceless isn't it ?

I doubt it's true, but wouldn't it be great if it were?

Take a little time to dream.

6. That made me laugh out loud
Lucky I'd just finished a beer. Otherwise, I'd have probably sprayed the monitor and keyboard.

In regard to others' questions, I doubt that it's really true. Doesn't sound like police dialog to me, although I don't really have basis for judging.

I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall at that police station.

8. I don't like it when the freepers do it, so to be consistent...
it bugs the heck out of me to hear these dubious strawman anecdotes when I get those mass emails from the "dark side". Lately I've seen a few from our end, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. the situation described is totally plausable, but the story is obviously Snopes fodder.

10. I don't think it's supposed to be an anecdote
It's just a humorous story/joke that makes an excellent point!

15. Thank you!
There's an asshole on my company bb who posts idiotic rw forwards. You know the type. I'm making a collection of liberal forwards so that whenever he posts his tripe, I'll have something to come back with. I'm hoping some Skinnerian learning will occur, but I tend to doubt it.

17. Even if the irony feels good
I don't take glee in this like the rest. I see another irony here.

Doesn't anyone see that the guy in the car in front of her is doing exactly what Bush is doing to us. He has the power to impede her, and he isn't even going to listen to her communication.

And just what if she was on the way to the emergency room?

I have always said, and I always will say that "road rage" comes from road inconsideration.
