Sure, why raise taxes on the wealthy if you can cut food stamps?
and health care to the most vulnerable segments?

From the WSJ:

Josh Bolten, Mr. Bush's budget director, said recently that the White House wants to finance hurricane relief -- an expenditure that may run as much as $200 billion -- by trimming at least $35 billion from farm subsidy programs, as well as food stamps, Medicare and Medicaid.

2. Don't forget he still wants to cut the estate tax too.
Apparently letting the government have a share of any inheritance over 1.5 Million cuts too close to the bone for the ruling elite.

3. But of course!!
It makes so much sense!! Using their logic, the poor are used to not having enough food and medicine...so why not cut those things that they are used to not having in the first place all together?! :sarcasm:

4. Hell, they'd save themselves a bunch of trouble is they just rounded all
the poor, democrats, and minorities up, fenced us in a couple of states, and nuked us.

The plans are probably on bush**s desk as I type.

6. Right, because if your 90 yr old gramma can't afford to eat
because her late husband's pension disappeared and her goddamn prescriptions cost so much, well, that's her own damn fault - she should go out there and get a job!

11. Thats why Walmart has their Enslave the Elderly Program.
Too poor for food and drugs? Too old for anyone else to hire you? Come to Walmart and we'll hire you to stand at our front door for 8 long hours of your elderly life and greet people better than you. :sarcasm:

8. OK, $200 billion - $35 billion = $165 billion shortfall
Even after cutting everything under the sun (which BTW will result in more poor people dying) the math is still fuzzy.

10. Social Darwinism at its finest.
If poor folk can't eat, they die, meaning more for the rich folk.
