80 battalions? Who's lying - Bush or General Casey ??
Bush said we had 80 battalions of Iraqis fighting alongside the AMericans in Iraq? General Casey told John McCain just the other day that there was only 1 battalion that was combat ready. Which is it? One battalion or eighty battalions? How many American battalions are in Iraq? Do they take along a dozen Iraqi recruits and call it an "Iraqi battalion"? What's the truth about this?

2. Both of them, there probably aren't any that are battle ready.
Those big killing missions have lately been exclusively US forces.

Right wingers start counting when the going gets rough. The numbers themselves don't mean a thing. Normal discourse is lies and distortions. When they throw numbers in then it's a BIG lie or distortion.

4. The one battalion could completely run independent military operations
Bush's "80" means they are anywhere from 1% to 100% comabat ready - and only one is 100%. It is all spin, all the time.

6. Obviously it's Casey who is lying....
Our pResident would never lie to the American people. Especially after the way they made an example of Clinton for lying. Actually now that I think about it, Casey didn't lie, it must have been Clinton's fault.
