Rove before grand jury in the morning
Murray Waas has been spot on all along, John Conyers quotes him extensively.

Rove before grand jury in the morning

White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove will testify tomorrow morning for a fourth time before the federal grand jury investigating the Valerie Plame matter, according to sources close to the investigation.

Rove will appear voluntarily, but during tomorrow's session, Rove will be pressed about issues as to why his accounts to the FBI and grand jury have changed, or evolved, over time. He will also be questioned regarding contacts with other senior administration officials, such as then-deputy National Security advisor Stephen J. Hadley and I. Lewis Libby, the chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney in the critical week before the publication of columnist Robert Novak's column on July 14, 2003, which outed Plame as a covert CIA operative.

Rove is also likely to be asked more detailed questions about his conversation with Time magazine Matthew Cooper on July 11, 2003, in which Cooper himself has testified to the grand jury that Rove had told him that Valerie Plame was employed by the CIA, and had played a role in having her husband, ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, selected to go on his controversial fact-finding mission on behalf of the CIA. Rove's previous grand jury appearances had occurred prior to Cooper's own testimony to the grand jury.

7. It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas everywhere you go

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Ev'rywhere you go
Take a look at the White House gang,
Huddling once again
With shredding machines aglow

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Treason in ev'ry store
But the prettiest sight to see
is the Rove that will be
Behind his own jail door

A pair of handcuffs and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of all the DU'ers
Snitches that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Scooter and Hadley
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for the trial to start again

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Ev'rywhere you go
There's a court room in the Grand Hotel,
One in the park as well
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas
Soon the bells will start
And the thing that will make them ring
Is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart

Jail time for all!!

20. Salon: Karl Rove is returning to testify before the grand jury
http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room//index.html

Karl Rove is returning to testify before the grand jury

Report: Rove to testify Friday about inconsistencies, contacts

Karl Rove will testify before Patrick Fitzgerald's grand jury Friday morning, sources tell journalist Murray Waas. And as we've suggested, Waas' sources say that Fitzgerald and his team of prosecutors will be concerned about inconsistencies in Rove's story: The first time Rove met with FBI agents investigating the outing of Valerie Plame, he somehow failed to mention that he had discussed Plame with Time reporter Matthew Cooper.

Waas' sources say that Rove will also be questioned regarding his interactions with other administration officials, including Scooter Libby and then-Deputy National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, during the week before Robert Novak outed Plame in his column on July 14, 2003. Rove has been identified as one of two sources for Novak's column. The other source -- a "senior administration official" Novak has described as "no partisan gunslinger" -- still has not been identified, at least not publicly.

21. More from Salon
So Karl Rove is returning to testify before the grand jury investigating the outing of Valerie Plame, and he's doing so without any guarantee that Patrick Fitzgerald won't prosecute him. How big of a development is this? "Stunning," a former federal prosecutor tells us. "There is no reason for Rove to make this appearance unless he and his counsel believe he is at serious risk of indictment. None."

It's always risky to go before a grand jury. You can't take your lawyer into the room with you, and you don't know what the grand jury knows or doesn't know. It's especially risky if you've already testified once -- or, in the case of Rove, three times -- before: The odds of introducing inconsistencies into your testimony increase each time you give it. That's why, the former prosecutor tells us, a defense lawyer would advise his client to make a return appearance before the grand jury only in extreme circumstances.

New York University law professor Stephen Gillers offers a similar assessment to the Associated Press. He calls Rove's return trip to the grand jury room an "ominous sign" that suggests Fitzgerald "has learned new information that is tightening the noose" around Rove's neck. "It shows Fitzgerald now, perhaps after Miller's testimony, suspects Rove may be in some way implicated in the revelation of Plame's identity or that Fitzgerald is investigating various people for obstruction of justice, false statements or perjury. That is the menu of risk for Rove."

23. Waas Rocks. Rove is doing a "roll over" (which isn't easy for him)
But why now go with Wayne Madsen, back from hiding out due to the threat on his life. He says Ari, Rove, and Libby are all going to get it. Says Cheney will be 'unindicted co conspirator' and that he doesn't know what will happen to Bush but it won't be good. And did you hear what Alex Jones is saying...;)

Wass is the real deal. More Wass!

31. If Cheney gets tagged as an UCC
...then I would guess this deal has been in the works for a while. Or Cheney knows what is coming (perhaps he has a good source), and is preparing for it.

The Cheneys just bought a house in St. Michaels, MD. And the missus was seen buying crap at Pottery Barn (if she broke it, did she buy it?) to furnish the new mansion....

It's an easy helo ride from both DC and Camp David.

32. Wishful thinking on Dick's part.
He may think he can get away with this but the Neocon group has pissed off everybody. The Katrina contracts were the last straw. This won't go down nicely. DC is a town full of people who live to get even or who see it is a necessary requirement of doing business here and one that they have to do well. The * folks don't have a lot of friends right now.

Very funny, btw, you break it, you buy it. How about the world.

33. He probably has a presigned pardon in his safe
All he has to do is get it date-stamped...

Cheney ain't gonna take the fall. He may resign, and go loot millions with his corporate cronies, but he will not spend a second behind bars, or even being arrested. If he takes the hit for the team, the pardon will follow seconds later. He'll play the same kind of hardball that Cap Weinberger did...

Wonder what that cost him.

Wouldn't it be great if he opened up the safe to get it and found the safe empty. Bad day at black rock for the Dickster.

29. I've researched this for a year or so
and I can tell you where he screwed up, with the FBI.. Rove has always OWNED and FBI agent or two since Texas..

He was once called before another hearing and told the Senator (in Texas) who asked him if he KNEW an FBI agent by a particular name..

Rove's answer was, "Uh Senator, would you mind defining the meaning of what 'know' is?" (See, he learns from both sides of the aisle, PRESIDENT - and I get to actually say PRESIDENT again without wanting to puke, PRESIDENT CLINTON style)

He LIED, bald faced LIED to the FBI from the start, and THAT is where Fitz has him by the short hairs, the rest is just gravy..

A friend of mine once told me that if confronted by an FBI agent to saying NOTHING. That they had the ability to MAKE you perjure yourself within a sentence or two, he actually said, 3 or 4 words!

There ARE god fearing Mormons all over in the FBI (wrong God by my count) so who knows what they told FITZ..

But I KNOW he LIED to the FBI, when I read that a year ago I got a chill that says, "THIS is IT."

It's in my film at Takebackthemedia.com
