Anyone else think it's time for Bill Clinton to face his demons?
I'm referring to Louis Freeh's new shit-stirring book which will serve up some refried Clinton. I know the right-wingers will parrot everything again, like it's brand new material and will dilute any opportunity to take advantage of this current void in leadership. I say that it's Clinton's turn to speak up and defend himself. I really wish he had done it when he had the chance with his own book, but he didn't take advantage of the opportunity.

Now it's time for him to be point-man for his own defense. He needs to come out and explain why Louis Freeh was incompetent at the job, and how he regrets trying to play nice with the Republicans by appointing them to extremely sensitive positions, like he did with Louis Freeh.

If I think that Hillary Clinton will make a lousy candidate for the Dems, it is for this example alone. Their attempts to be nice to the right only result in self-inflicted wounds. I'm tired of wasting time with that, and maybe somebody else wouldn't feel so obligated to oblige them.

1. Bill Clinton has paid his dues
as far as I'm concerned. Raked over the coals by the Republicans who dogged him for seven of his eight years in the WH, he retained his dignity, restored the dignity of this country, got us out of debt, didn't get us into a war, and paid for it with a failing heart. As far as I'm concerned he can do whatever he wants.

3. I don't disagree with any of the positive things you mention about
Clinton, but you know how this works. The more he keeps quiet, the more he allows them to frame him, Al Gore and even Hillary Clinton.

4. I don't think he's keeping quiet
But his legacy is made already. And I think he has to pick his battles these days, he's not a well man.

7. Didn't know about that last part.
I, personally, believe that Clinton's legacy will grow as history fully understands what the right did to him.

19. What due? He paid nothing.
Gore and the Dem party payed and in turn the country and the world paid. But Clinton paid shit. He had two terms, he could write a best-seller mostly because he had a BJ, he is now a millionaire who again wants to be everything for everyone so Hillary can put him back to the White House.
What did pay? Nothing.

5. I think you don't understand. The Bashing is about to begin again.

Louis Freeh is the Republican's next best friend. All they have to do is repeat excerpts to stir up their people, and drown out any message from the Dems currently running for office.

8. the bashing never stops, it just quiets down for a bit and then
the volume gets turned up. For the next 30 years there will be Clinton bashing.

9. Bill Clinton's troubles are "old news".
He is no longer president, has kept his marriage together in spite of the investigation into what was nobody's business. Fugetaboutit and let it rest fer cris' sakes.

Why worry about Clinton when we have an illegal war going, a NOC who was uncovered and seriously put this country in danger of rogue nukes, an unqualified person has been nominated for the highest court in the land, a demented president, a huge problem in the Gulf states, a serious deficit, and on and on.

14. I worry about the Clinton bashing because right-wingers are
learning disabled. They learn by repitition and it will be difficult to drive the other points home if they still stick to what they know best: Bashing Clinton.

10. Freeh's book won't crack the top 100....
The American public doesn't give a shit about what Clinton did more than 5 years ago anymore. He's successfully rehabilitated his image.

11. Clinton has a congenital need to be liked
especially by those whom he considers the "elite". Hence the ongoing kissing up to poopy bush and the defense of jr. I'm not sure Hillary has this same problem but she is now in a position where strong opinions will piss off somebody - or at least thats what Bill is telling her. The problem is the freeh's of the world are never going to let this drop because Clinton hatred is the national pastime. You can bet mr. freeh will appear on every fuck snooze show within the next month. And still Bill won't say dick. And the "elite" will still hate him and more and more of us will just give up on him. And eventually his opinion won't mean shit.

I'm not happy that he still thinks that triangulation is the answer. I always referred to is as striangulation.

13. It is time for someone, perhaps, Janet Reno to talk about what a
fuckedup, politically motivated, drunk on power a-hole Louie is. Worse FBI director ever, even worse that Hoover. Opus Dei freako. The first thing he did when he became director was have the computer removed from his desk - did not understand the internets and did not want email. He didn't ask for demo and didn't want to know - just got rid of it. When others tried to get him to upgrade their 1970 computers he blew them off - he had absolutely no comprehension of what a 20th century database could mean.

17. Louis Freeh was definitely one of Clinton's biggest mistakes.
The other one was appointing the CIA Director. What's his name?
