Bush will veto anti-torture law
Edited on Sun Oct-09-05 10:14 PM by ck4829
Why don't all the stories that say "Bush will veto anti-torture law" say "Bush will veto bill that gives more money to soldiers" instead?

Because when Bush will veto this anti-torture bill, he will also be vetoing the increased provisions for soldiers too.

1. They are accurately pointing out his main motive, which is to feed
his torture fetish. Taking food from the mouths of soldiers' babies is just a nice bonus.

2. Probably because the troops "love" him.
They will accept anything that creep does...anything.

3. Here's the headline I want to see:
'BUSH TO VETO LAW GRANTING MORE FUNDING FOR SOLDIERS BECAUSE IT PROHIBITS TORTURE."

How on earth can anybody justify that?

4. The Chimp hasnt vetoed anything yet has he?
Of course, it helps that Repukes control all branches of government, making it unnecessary for him to do so.

6. I thought that he couldn't veto
because it passed the Senate by like 90-10, or something.

Did he get more votes in the House? I know they were trying franctically to bully Reps in to voting against the amendment so Bush can veto it.
