Will History Vindicate Governor Davis?
I am not a huge fan of Davis. But I think he got a bum rap for the problems of California. I think there is no way you can repeal the car tax, which is 4 billion in revenue, and recoup an $8 billion deficiet, and not raise taxes without cutting some valuable important programs that would hurt all lot of people. like Arnold wants to do. Making up for $12 Billion in one year is like passing a kidney stone even in a state with 34 million people.

I think history will show that Davis was not perfect, but that recall did not help the state.

What do you all think?

Mike

1. Ahnold will make a mess of things
and try to shift the blame to Davis. I hope that the voters in CA are more smart than they are in some other places, and realize that they have been had by a smooth talking actor who promised everything and will wind up delivering nothing.

4. Well, they fell for Reagan, didn't they?
It's been going downhill in this country ever since.

2. No more than it vindicates Tony Blair
Like Tony, Davis is a sign of the decline of the third way.

3. I got these problems from Davis, I got these problems from Davis,
That's all you'll fucking hear, while the rest of the time he'll blame the legislature for blocking all of his necessary proposals that "the people" want. So watch out for fucked up initiatives getting rammed down your throats!!!!!!!

Oh and why is Bush so willing to help CA now, I though these were all state issues.

5. Is Ahnazi an improvement? No. Was Davis the worst of the worst
corporate, milquetoast Democrat who stood for nothing but triangulation?

Yes.
