I can't believe people would want schools teaching their children about religion. Why is this country traveling in the complete wrong direction?

Well, it's not the direction you think it's heading. We're headed in the way of religion not because of some inherent goodness or righteousness on the part of Americans. Statistically, we're still the horniest, nastiest buggers on the planet.

However, we continue to get LAZIER. This falls under the heading of "I can't be bothered to teach my kid religion; I pay taxes; teachers are lazy because they get two months off every year; therefore, the schools can teach my kid about anything I don't want to be bothered with."

See? It ain't religion. It's inbred laziness.

It is obvious that people are too lazy to teach their own children religion, but you would think they wouldn't want others doing it in their place... it's so frustrating.

I know so many people who are supposed christians who steal, lie, cheat and knowingly hurt others. I guess it excuses their behavior in some twisted way for them to claim God is on "their team."

I understand your point but I don't understand the HYPOCRISY of it all.

It is frustrating for us agnostics to see this happen to our country.
