5. Okay, now a question.
I didn't know people inside the WH didn't like Rove. I guess I thought all conservatives (associated with Bush anyway) thought what he did and the way he treated people was okay. Did I miss this before?

11. No, you didn't miss anything. This not liking Rove thing is new.
This is Andy Card trying to save the Bush presidency - won't work.

27. "they're playing with the "B" team"
This explains a lot--if Rove and Cheney have not been watching to make sure * doesn't flub up--that explains the Miers nomination, Katrina, and so many more missteps lately. They lost the message and people are seeing * for what he can do on his own. We all knew it already--but now everybody gets to see.

btw--RW Fundies are doing things like sending around emails saying "Pray for this man"--and showing *'s picture.

37. Dis-Unified field theory
THe B team concept makes the most sense to me-- makes the strange recent stumblings a little more understandable.

Rove has always sounded like a rat fucker. So how do the sincere Christians on the right make sense of this I wonder. DO they feel betrayed by threat of loosing Rove, or betrayed by Rove?

http://www.udata.com/users/byrd/pray.htm

Warning: obnoxious music! But it isn't a video--just a screen with music. It gives us an insight into their world.

I don't think Rove is on their radar. It is just an honest president doing his honest job! They've got huge blinders on their eyes! For so many, politics is just too complicated to follow. They just vote for their fearless leader and let him take charge unquestioningly!

9. Interesting, but
it should be readily apparent to even the most casual observer that Tweety and Fineman (earning their rightwing merit badges) are helping to set up Bush's defense. It seems clear they have both spoken with Andy Card and the quote we will hear from Bush within a few days "Karl lied to me. I believed him. Sadly, I have no choice but to accept his resignation".

Tweety has not had a change of heart as posters on other threads have suggested - he is still doing all he can to help Bush by spinning this as hard as he can in an effort to help Bush distance himself from the treason. It will probably work. Its all Karl's fault. Its all Karl's fault. Its all Karl's fault.

17. I think they'll try that for sure and it's what
they're trying now. Matthews has known about this forever. I don't trust Matthews since in 2004 he went to Boehmain Grove. I don't think what they say matters though to Fitzgerald. If Bush is involved and has proof they'll get him either way. This is just for public opinion. If it does happen watch them pull a Tom DeLay and claim "partisan politics". :eyes:

18. I think the Matthew/Fineman spinning show tonight is proof that Karl
is about to be indicted and the White House knows it. I am amazed at the number of DU posters commenting elsewhere on Tweety's change of heart, etc. taking him at face value instead of looking for the story behind the story.

The real story tonight is that the White House talking points are being framed to try and save Bush by trashing Rove and Libby.

If tomorrow's White House talking points focus on the disagreements between Bush and the V-Pres then we will know that Cheney is likely to be named as an un-indicted co-conspirator.

32. It's all good. We saw evidence of gwb's inability to manage
"the message" without Rove around. If Cheney is politically neutralized, as well, so much the better.

Let those two be consumed by the energy required to keep from being convicted, and watch gwb self destruct.

 I have champagne chilled, just waiting for the indictments. MKJ

If he determines that Bush is a co-cospirator, he's a co-cospirator, period.

23. For once, please, I wish they would mention Plame's specialty with the CIA
It really adds to the severity of the treason if people could understand that Ms. Plame was working on tracking WMD, which was the supposed rationale for the War on Iraq to begin with. If bush was so concerned about WMD, he should have blown a gasket over an agent being outed.

But of course, just as with September 11, 2001, bush knew. I think the only thing that surprised him was Rove, et al., getting caught when they tried to kill the messenger (Wilson).

24. I agree. I also wish they would make a huge point out of the
outing not just affecting her but discuss the ramifications to our entire intelligence network--and therefore national security. I know too many people who are "ho humming" because it was "just one agent." Dumbasses!

31. What bothers me:
1) Why do Tweety and Fineman assume that Rove lied to Bush?

2) This still doesnt make sense...how is outing Plame "Squashing Wilson" like a bug? So what if she's an operative. Are they really expecting people to connect the ...'s that she somehow, out of personal agenda, got her husband to go out there and lie? Thats insane...people arent that smart lol.

33. Please - Tweety and Fineman are part of the White House spin
machine. They have no actual interest in the truth - their mission now is to keep Bush from being impeached by trashing his staff instead.

34. I dont believe it.
Fineman knows exactly whats going on, and doesn't want to lose his corporate job.

Matthews, though I like him, just isn't that bright. His political acuman is wrong way too much for me to trust his instinct.

He is a purely political creature...I really don't think he has a hardcore affiliation with the right.

so please to be in on the inside game they will say anything to stay there. Both are whores for the power structure and the power is moving around within the administration and both of them are so silly as to think they are important.
