1. I hope he gets past the family stuff soon
I listened to Lionel tonight and he's been really great in recent weeks. He's gotten totally fed up with the administration and the big lie. Tonight, it was 3 hours of Rove and how he sees the situation from his lawyer's perspective. He's been so good since he finally wised up to W et al.

Anyhow, I do hope Bernie gets off this first topic. I know it's probably important but right now it's just not what's happening.

2. I agree with you,
I've listened to Bernie for a long time. I just don't care to hear about his family dilemmas. Save them for the midnight to 1:00 am slot.

4. The trouble with Bernie Ward is
Edited on Wed Oct-12-05 12:33 AM by nvliberal
that sometimes, like tonight, he talks about stuff nobody truly gives a shit about, especially people who are outside of the Bay Area.

He pulled that crap last week when he was yapping about the parking situation in San Francisco before hosting Mayor Gavin Newsom.

He wasted two hours on utter crap, and tonight he threatens to do the same thing.

None of these belong on nighttime talk radio because KGO has a much wider audience in the evening than during the day (even with the web broadcasts).

Another problem with his show is he takes something like Plamegate and flogs it to death.

Just because he is interested in this thing doesn't mean everybody else in the world thinks it's the be-all end-all issue.

There were days when he talked night after night after night about Iraq and nothing else, because that's his favorite hobby horse having worked for Barbara Boxer. He doesn't do it that much now, for I think management told him to can it.

6. I'd be fine with a discussion of Iraq and Rove/Plamme
Both have a broad appeal as topics because they're so timely. With soldiers dying in Iraq day after day, it can be discussed night after night as far as I'm concerned.

I love Bernie because he debates wingnuts better than just about anyone on the air. He and Lionel are top notch debaters.

5. Yes, it's a problem if you have kids going into their college years
I don't, so I switched over to Mike Webb.
