Decent people tell little lies and they suspect that others do too.

Decent people won't even allow themselves to contemplate 'big lies' because they would be so deeply, deeply ashamed to tell a 'big lie' - such as 'there are WMDs in Iraq' or 'the election was free and fair and now I have capital to spend.' Decent people would be too afraid to tell a big lie because they might be found out.

So make the lie BIG, simple, and repeat it often.

7. The telecommunications act of 1996 allowed for massive consolidation
in the media industry. Now, there's only 5 companies that control the MSM outlets. Mess with the party in power, and they make it hard to do business.

It's ALL about the money.

10. Simply the fact that it is not only the MSM but the Corporate Media.
Look at the consolidation of big business and who do they support. I always remember Walter Cronkite talking about the fact that back when reporters were making salaries much more equal to main stream america. They would sit down in blue collar bars & have a beer with workers. They were not out of touch.

Now they only want to be on TV, big bucks and are loyal to the corporate interests.

My question is; Is it possible to break up the media, TV News, newspapers and make them Independent only where they would not have the corporate interference in public news.

13. Sure it is possible, but it will never happen. It wold require those that
benefit most from the corruption to end it. I'm afraid nothing will change things until they get so bad that violent conflict is better than the status quo, by then it will have passed us by.

11. The media are our enemy, just as is that part of "our government" that is
controlled by war profiteering families and corporations. THEY ARE THE PROBLEM, not the solution.

Those that own the msm stand to get much more from compliance with a fascist administration, not the least of which is deregulation. Besides, they'd have to reverse their position in many cases and what would that do to their carefully-maintained illusion of credibility?
