Remember that post 9-11 Bush-Gore matchup poll?
The media loved to talk about it in late 2001. Bush would have beaten Gore by 20 points if the election had been held then.

Where's the Bush-Kerry matchup poll, now that Bush is tanking?

2. So they don't like to have polls about impeachment
because it's not something people are talking about, but polls that are utterly pointless, like matching up Gore and Bush after Bush let 9-11 happen are ok?

3. It was likely intended to give Bush a further air of legitimacy.
The media was in effect saying, "Look. More people supported Gore last year but now they prefer Bush."
